On 4 December cosine presented at ESTEC the progress on the development of novel X-ray optics for IXO to an international audience of scientists and engineers.
At the final presentation of a contract of the European Space Agency, cosine and its subcontractors Micronit, SRON, Kayser-Threde , DNSC and MPE showed to an audience of scientists and engineers from Europe, the USA and Japan that the process of producing silicon X-ray optics is under control, and that the quality of the modules produced is steadily improving towards the requirements for the International X-ray Observatory satellite mission.
