Embedded devices and data analysis

cosine has developed its own embedded stereo- vision modules running on Linux. The devices can be communicated with over the network using a proprietary protocol. We have a range of assignments concerning these systems: make use of standard communication protocols, port to Windows of the camera drivers, making the device discoverable on the network, make use of a version of Linux that is more suitable for embedded systems. The code is written in C++ with some C. These devices are often used as hyperspectral cameras. For those more inclined to work on data, we have a number of assignments concerning the formats, the analysis and visualization of data. Depending on skills and interests the candidate will work under the supervision of cosine staff to perform one or more of the tasks.

Candidates must have some C++ knowledge and a basic knowledge of network protocols.
