SOFTWARE ENGINEER

We are looking for a software engineer who supports the remote sensing team with the design, implementation and test software for measurement systems and related functionality. One of these projects involves the second generation hyperspectral imager, an innovative miniaturized instrument for Earth observation.
You will be working with both embedded and PC environments, where the focus will be on Linux development, but bare-metal and the occasional Windows application will also be part of your work.

Skills and qualifications

  • BSc degree in computer science or similar technical field. A Masters degree is an advantange
  • 1-2 years experience with embedded systems and software development writing technical software (C/C++)
  • Ability to speak and write English fluently in a professional working environment
  • Interest in data analysis algorithms and scientific software is appreciated
  • Experience with web application programming and/or Python programming is an advantage
  • Experience with programming and/or system administration in a Linux environment is a strong advantage

PROJECT ASSISTANT

We are looking for an ambitious and energetic project assistant who will provide support to the remote sensing business unit of cosine. We run several projects that involve dealing with international customers and suppliers.
Your challenge will be to support our project managers, so that they can focus on the technical aspects of the development.

Skills and qualifications

  • University degree from a recognized institution of secondary studies or an equivalent qualification in Business Administration
  • Several years of experience in a similar position
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to speak and write English fluently in a professional working environment
  • Skilled in using Microsoft Office products, including MS Project
  • Knowledge of LibreOffice is an advantage
  • Knowledge of ESA administrative and financial processes is a strong advantage

TECHNICAL FACILITY MANAGER

We are looking for an experienced technical facility manager to oversee and support all building-related activities including the expanding of our current laboratory and cleanroom facilities.

The ideal candidate is well-organized, with a hands-on approach, able and willing to carry out maintenance activities and simple installations in order to get the job done. Your challenge is to optimize the use of space and equipment while reducing operating costs. Leadership abilities and a high level of efficiency can set you apart among other candidates.

Skills and qualifications

  • Proven experience as a technical facility manager or equivalent thereof
  • Experience in a production or cleanroom environment is a strong advantage
  • Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and best practices of facility management
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Proficient communication skills in Dutch and English
  • Ability to solve problems efficiently, pragmatically and independently
  • BSc in engineering, facility management or equivalent thereof
  • Relevant professional qualifications e.g. VCA-VOL, VOP (Voldoende Opgeleid Persoon), GMP and project management are considered an advantage
