cosine at AXRO 2022

cosine will be present at the 13th International Workshop on Astronomical X-Ray Optics (AXRO) 2022, to be held from 5 – 9 December 2022 in Prague, Czech Republic. On Wednesday 7 December at 10:40 our scientist engineer Nicolas Barrière will present about Silicon Pore Optics X-ray mirror development for the Athena telescope.

The objective of the workshop is to present and to discuss recent and future technologies for X-ray astronomy missions. These missions require the development of innovative technologies and it is necessary to discuss the possibilities, the results obtained so far, and new ideas in detail. AXRO 2022 will cover topics in the fields of X-ray optics, space missions, X-ray detectors and test facilities, and X-ray and high-energy astrophysics in several sessions, aiming to build bridges between different scientific themes.

The requirements of future space X-ray astronomy missions are so demanding that they need a truly interdisciplinary approach in a wide international collaboration. High-energy optics based on Silicon wafers (cosine’s Silicon Pore Optics) offer solutions to realize and build these future missions.
