cosine at SPIE optics and Photonics 2023

cosine will attend and give multiple presentations during the upcoming SPIE optics and Photonics 2023, taking place 20-24 August 2023 in San Diego, California. This event gathers researchers, educators, and industry to advance light-based research and technologies to the benefit of humanity.

cosine will give several talks on the applications of Silicon Pore Optics, a very light weight high-energy optics technology:

• “High-resolution and light-weight silicon pore x-ray optics“, presented by cosine’s scientist-engineer Boris Landgraf – 22 August 2023, 14:10 – 14:30 (local time) – Conv. Ctr. Room 17A.
• “Silicon pore optics: a mature and adaptable x-ray mirror technology“, presented by cosine’s scientist-engineer David Girou – 22 August 2023, 14:50 – 15:10 (local time) – Conv. Ctr. Room 17A.
• “NewATHENA optics technology“, presented by Marcos Bavdaz, European Space Agency (ESA) – 22 August 2023, 13:30 – 14:10 (local time) – Conv. Ctr. Room 17A.
• “Laue lens made of SiLCs for hard x-ray polarimetry“, presented by cosine’s scientist-engineer Nicolas Barriere – 24 August 2023, 08:30 – 08:50 (local time) – Conv. Ctr. Room 11B.

Do not miss this opportunity to meet face to face with our experts, learn about our latest breakthroughs, the start of the production phase of Silicon Pore Optics mirror modules for the European Space Agency’s Athena telescope and to explore potential collaborations!

SPIE is the international society for optics and photonics. Each year, they organize approximately 25 major technical forums, exhibitions, and education programs in North America, Europe, Asia, and the South Pacific, where more than 35,000 scientists, engineers, and entrepreneurs showcase the latest innovations across a wide range of technologies. The objective of SPIE is to strengthen the global optics and photonics community through conferences, publications, and professional development, bringing together engineers, scientists, students, and industry leaders to advance light-based science and technologies.
