ESA delegation tours new cosine facilities

The European Space Agency (ESA) recently visited and toured cosine’s new facilities in Sassenheim with a delegation of 12 representatives.

This tour was part of the recent TRA (Technology Readiness Assessment) activities ESA is currently conducting for the Athena x-ray telescope. TRAs of the optics and the scientific instruments are part of the MAR (Mission Adoption Review) process to adopt the Athena mission and to proceed to the building phase.

This visit was also a good way to showcase cosine’s recent move to our expanded facilities in Sassenheim, which are being readied for the large scale production of Silicon Pore x-ray Optics.
